What defines the Alton armchair above all else is its exceptional attention to detail and appreciation for unconventional materials. Designed by David Lopez Quincoces, it reveals the bold thinking behind its sculptural semi-circular metal frame, soft padded seat, and unique hand-crafted backrest. More than 200 metres of aged natural hide cord are used to create its dynamic structure. The contrasting shapes, colours, and textures contribute to the armchair’s distinct appeal. This design allows for certain creative freedom – you can opt for a dark brown waxed cotton cord for the backrest and choose the upholstery from an array of fabric and leather coverings.
